In celebration of United Black World Month, LGBTQ Initiatives is hosting a screening of the documentary Paris is Burning, which offers a look into New York City’s ballroom scene. Following the film, there will be a facilitated discussion on ballroom culture, the interconnections between Black and LGBTQ communities, and the ways in which race, sexuality, gender, and expression intertwine in these spaces.

This event will be in the Interfaith Prayer Room, located on the 3rd floor of the Ohio Union. Dinner will be served.

This event is worth 1 DICE point. Participants must attend both the film screening and discussion in order to receive credit.
