Women comedians have a long tradition of being funny about the notion of "pretty"--the traditional expectations of what women are supposed to look like and how we're supposed to behave. More recently, comedians like Wanda Sykes and Margaret Cho have also satirized the bias that "pretty" means "white." This presentation shows how recent women's comedy is pretty funny in its critique of body politics.
