OUAB Grad/Prof Technical Tuesday: Drinking from a Firehose: Strategies for Reading and Organizing Research Notes

Date: Tuesday, September 28, 2021, 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.

Location: Ohio Union - Great Hall Meeting Room 3

Cost: Free

Reading in graduate and professional school can be overwhelming, like drinking from a firehose. In this workshop from the Dennis Learning Center (DLC), you will learn how to stay on top of your reading list by reading smarter, not harder. DLC Program Manager Jackie von Spiegel will share strategies for efficient reading, developing an organized system for note-taking, and making a weekly reading and writing schedule.

If you require an accommodation such as live captioning or interpretation to participate in this event, please contact Dustin Beech at or 614-688-1029. Requests made one week in advance of the event will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.
