The Ohio State University will host one of the largest Thanksgiving Day dinners on a college campus on Thursday, November 28, 2019 in the Ohio Union. An estimated 1,600 guests will attend the dinner, including students, faculty and staff, along with their families, who are unable to travel home for the holiday. Seatings for the dinner will take place at 11:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m., and all guests must have a ticket to enter.
Tickets are free and are available for pick up at 140 Enarson Classroom Building, the Hale Black Cultural Center and the Ohio Union Information Center.
The traditional Thanksgiving Dinner will include 650 pounds of turkey, 30 gallons of gravy, 432 pounds each of green beans and corn, 320 pounds of corn bread and 2,000 slices of pie. Ohio State's Thanksgiving Dinner began 28 years ago as a gathering of 25 graduate students in the Hale Black Cultural Center, and has grown to include a broad participation from out-of-state and international students.
