Professional Development Series: How to Succeed as a Mentor

Time: Tuesday, November 12, 2019 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Location: Barbie Tootle Room - 3rd Floor Ohio Union

Graduate and professional students are in a unique position in which they may have mentors critical to their success and may also serve as mentors to other graduate and professional students or undergraduate students. Sometimes you may find yourself in the position as a mentor because someone picked you as their mentor. Even if you are not yet a mentor, you will likely have the opportunity in the future. Learning how to be a successful mentor now will also help you navigate the relationship with your current or future mentors. Join OUAB Grad/Prof for a workshop that will cover the following topics:

1) How to establish a successful mentorship,

2) Skills useful to maintaining a positive mentorship, and

3) Tips for serving as a mentor

Lunch is provided.  Please register.
