Hear what graduate students who attended last year’s SciPhD event at Ohio State have to say:

“The presenters were clearly knowledgeable and willing to help students. What I found most helpful was tailoring your resume to the job ad and the interview feedback.” – Professional student in health sciences

“I really enjoyed this program and it's probably one of the best professional development workshops I've ever been to. The fact that they took the time to create an actual booklet of everything they talked about was incredibly helpful and thoughtful.” – Master’s student in education

“I liked the efforts made to familiarise academics with the corporate environment [and I liked] the strategies suggested for framing and structuring an approach to the job market.” – Ph.D. student in humanities

“The networking opportunities were interesting and dynamic, and being able to access the materials afterwards for reference was extremely valuable.” – Master’s student in lab based sciences/engineering

“The most valuable part of the workshop was the perspective shift that it provided between the academic and nonacademic job search. This is something I would not have realized on my own, and I believe it will greatly increase my chances of success when applying for jobs outside of academia. I felt that they made us aware of various job search and time management tools that we might not have known about otherwise.” – Ph.D. student in lab based science/engineering
