n committed to advocating and educating people on the disparities in Amer
ica&rsquo\;s criminal justice system. The investigation of this convictio
n has raised questions regarding police coercion and false confessions\,
as well as the vulnerability of juveniles during police interrogations.&n
bsp\;Raymond Santana tweeted award-winning director Ava DuVernay about th
e story of the Central Park Five\, which led to it becoming the subject o
f the hit Netflix series\, \;When They See Us. Santana now works clos
ely with the Innocence Project and is a member of the New York City Justi
ce League. He owns the clothing company Park Madison NYC\, named after hi
s home city of New York.Since his release\, Dr. Yusef Salaam has committe
d himself to advocating and educating people on the issues of false confe
ssions\, police brutality and misconduct\, press ethics and bias\, race a
nd law\, and the disparities in America&rsquo\;s criminal justice system.
In 2013\, documentarians Ken and Sarah Burns released the documentary&nb
sp\;The Central Park Five\, which told of this travesty from the perspect
ive of Yusef and his cohorts. \;He was appointed to the board of the
