OUAB Executive Board
- President - MacGregor Obergfell
- Vice President - Tom Shepherd
- Director of Operations - Claire Sasowsky
. - Marketing - Matt Kolena - Diana Hauptman
The Marketing Committee plays a vital role in the success of OUAB events. We are responsible for communicating and promoting our events to students throughout campus. We do this as creatively as possible, with simple flyers and chalking as well as fun promotional items, Lantern advertisements and Facebook advertisements. We work to develop an exceptional image of OUAB around campus and seek both volunteers and attendees. Maybe you just want to put a little more creativity in your life or maybe you are looking to find out what marketing is really about. Look around - you might just see us when you are walking through the Oval, and watch out - we might toss you a Frisbee! - Comedy - Mark Pagano
There are so many ways to make people laugh, the Comedy Committee's purpose is to try to bring them all! This committee is made up of all kinds of people who love to giggle, chuckle, chortle, and everything in between, but mostly just like to make other people do all of the above. We have brought stand-up like Joel McHale and Ralphie May, to combination shows like Will Ferrell's Funny Or Die tour, and even bringing the starts of TV shows like The Office and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. - Collaborative Events - Neil Wang
The Collaborative Events Committee works with other student organizations and departments at Ohio State to bring diverse and exciting events to campus. Collaborative Events include concerts, lectures, special events, and a wide array of non-traditional programs. It is the goal of the Collaborative Events Committee to create working relationships throughout the Ohio State community and to create events not currently being planned by the other OUAB committees. - Dates & Data - Emily Stout
“Made by OSU Students for OSU Students” Dates and Data is the OSU student planner. For 60 years, the Dates and Data committee has been responsible for designing and compiling the entire planner, seeking advertisers, working with a publishing company, and selling the finished planner to bookstores and other businesses around campus. We are always looking for students to help out with design, photos, advertising, quotes, sales and more! Dates and Data has also put on great programs like Step it Up and Dance, Wii with Gee, and Put Your Game Face On. - Graduate/Professional - Kerry Hodak - Ana Azevedo
The Graduate & Professional Student Programming Committee plans programs specifically with the graduate and professional student in mind. They range from enhancing a student's academic life, with programs about time management or writing grants, to social programs like our monthly happy hours or speed dating. We also recognize the numerous students who are parents (or are just kids at heart) with our Family Fun series. Overall we work to recognize the different needs of graduate and professional students to connect them to what the University has to offer. - Lectures - Will Moore
The Lectures Committee wants you to think. More importantly, we want you to have fun doing it. That’s why we work tirelessly to bring you diverse, unique speakers like Russell Simmons, Alberto Gonzales, Kurt Vonnegut, Al Gore, and members of the Mythbusters Crew! We provide a forum for authors, experts, celebrities, and professional speakers to share their experience and insights with OSU students. - Special Events - Mary Guido
Special Events is the OUAB committee that does all that and more. Whatever the other committees don’t cover, we do! We put on an array of events, from a fashion show, to a dance party to crafts on the oval. Typically events we plan have an interactive element that allows you to come out and do something fun, free of charge. Whether it is a motivational speaker or a night of magic, our missions is to promote diverse events that everyone can enjoy. You never know what Special Events will do next! - Visual & Fine Arts - Nora Gerber
The Visual and Fine Arts Committee puts on many exciting events for the entire student body to enjoy related to film and arts. These events have included the traditional Flicks for Free and Movie on the Oval series, as well as free movie screenings, art shows, dance performances, director discussions. The VFA Committee has recently brought award winning artists Zach Braff and Kevin Smith! - Advisor - Hali Buck
